Program

Nastavni program Cisco akademije mrežnih tehnologija je dizajniran s namjerom da polaznike nauči znanja i vještine potrebne za dizajniranje, izgradnju i održavanje manjih i srednje velikih računalnih mreža. Naučena znanja omogućavaju polaznicima da se lakše zaposle odnosno da lakše nastave školovanje u području računalnih mreža.

Program Cisco akademije mrežnih tehnologija obuhvaća 280 sati, organiziranih u 4 modula po 70 sati. Nastavni program sadrži dosta praktičnog rada, a izvodi se na mrežnoj komunikacijskoj opremi i osobnim računalima. Okosnicu teorijskog dijela čini multimedijalni nastavni materijal dostupan polaznicima putem Interneta. Posebna prednost takvog oblika nastave jest prilagodljivost polaznicima različitih razina predznanja, dinamike i stilova učenja. Prema procjeni, polaznicima je za završetak programa potrebno od 6 mjeseci do 2 godine. Program je 80% općenit o mrežnim tehnologijama, a 20% specifičan za Cisco opremu. Sav nastavni materijal je na engleskom jeziku, dok se laboratorijske vježbe i konzultacije odvijaju na hrvatskom jeziku. Tokom pojedinih modula polažu se ispiti kojim se provjerava napredak polaznika. Svi ispiti su na engleskom jeziku i polažu se putem računala. Poslužitelj za polaganje ispita je smješten u tvrtki Cisco Systems, a predavači u Lokalnim Cisco akademijama mogu kontrolirati napredak polaznika.
Nakon završetka programa polaznici mogu pristupiti polaganju CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) ispita. CCNA certifikat koji se stječe polaganjem završnog ispita CNA programa, polazna je točka u daljnjem obrazovanju koje nudi Cisco, a može se odvijati u jednom od dva pravca, održavanje ili dizajniranje računalnih mreža. Svaki od ta dva pravca sastoji se od tri stupnja koja polaznika vode od početnog stupnja suradnika (CCNA), preko profesionalca (CCNP/CCDA) do eksperta (CCIE/CCDP).
